Yeah, but will there be a pachinko mini-game?Īruze is THE pachinko game maker - after all, the conglomerate's biggest products are the bouncing-ball-bearing gambling machines that Japan loves so well. The story seems based on the idea of "First Contact" with an alien race, and a game about us being all friendly with aliens wouldn't make for much of a game, now would it? There's a new direction for this Survival/panic horror genre. Seriously though, the game looks pretty good, although most of the shots are CG/cutscenes. The characters are all motion captured and voiced by "professional voice actors from Los Angeles," as if that gives them some kind of credibility. Anyway, the story takes place aboard a space carrier, where "there's no escape." Okay, sounds foreboding. Whooops - that's "panic action," not survival horror, sorry. Phase what? Where the heck did this thing come from? According to Sony, it's already 99.8% complete! It looks kind of like a survival horror game at first glance, but SCE will likely try to differentiate it from Extermination, also due out in March. Take for example, Phase Paradox, an adventure/suspense game from SCE due out March 22nd. That's why you see countless surprise titles, ports and re-releases of all kinds. That is why in the months before April 1st, companies scramble to release everything they got in order to look good to the stockholders. Never underestimate the power of the end of the fiscal year on Japanese videogame companies. Its "Spring" release could mean it's here in time for that all-important fiscal year statement. Given the time frame, it's most likely an update of AC2 that will HOPEFULLY include analog stick control. Not looking to be outdone by Konami's Z.O.E, From Software will be releasing Armored Core 2 ANOTHER AGE this Spring for 6800 yen on a DVD-ROM. Maybe his version of Onimusha's soul-reaping glove. The glowing stones in the screenshots appear to have some sort of relation to Dante's special moves. What other game allows for sword and gun combos AT THE SAME TIME? March is now known as demo month, with MGS2 and DMC both hitting the PS2, not to mention some great games to go along with them. Take a look at these shots of him morphing and taking on a pair of giant scissors and you'll see why. Devil May Cry's Dante is the ultimate badass. There are many more where he has a role in such as "Hyouge Mono", "Sengoku Basara" the anime, and many more. It's official. There is also another anime called "Battle Girls - Time Paradox" where he is again shown as a female (see picture 2) and is again trying to take over the country and gets a help from a small girl that has gonne through time and ends up then the Sengoku Period. Some of the newer anime such as "The Ambition of Oda Nobuna" where they talk about how he/she is taking over the country and show how he/she did it. That's not the only anime where he is diplayed in this way, there are actually quite a few of them where he is displayed as a female, but then again we have also where he is displayed as a male, in anime such as "Samurai depper Kyo" where he is displayed as a male(see picture 1), a villain of the series. Now you start wondering what this blonde girl has to do with Oda Nobunaga, well she is Oda Nobunaga in the anime "The Ambition of Oda Nobuna"(see Video 1), where he is displayed in this way.
